The castle was built around 1350 by the Peralta family, the building has a rhomboidal shape, with four towers. Alcamo is full of churches, the most of them are great examples of Sicilian baroque architecture.

Castellammare del Golfo one of the most beautiful beach towns in Sicily. Although Castellammare does not have architectural masterpieces such as the baroque jewelery box mentioned above, the natural landscape where the town lies is quite impressive.
